At Evergreen College we have a simple college admissions process, which is streamlined to facilitate easy enrollment. Our policies and procedures are based on Provincial and Federal Collegiate standards ensuring our students that they will receive the most relevant assessment relative to their career training. Our goal is to understand each individual’s objectives and match the best program to their interests and aptitudes.
Our Education Counselors are well trained in career guidance and are experts in developing the best plan for prospective students. Career College Education is fast-track (6 – 8 months) and is specifically designed for candidates seeking meaningful employment in their field, in the shortest amount of time.
The Process
Step 1: Introduction: The Interview (by telephone, by email or by an Education/Admissions Counselor). The first meeting/interview is of key importance, as it outlines the most effective strategy for integration and action. Career goals, aspirations and time-lines are discussed followed by a tour of the campus, meeting other Evergreen College staff members and current students.
Step 2: Assessment Test (if needed) This grade 12 equivalency English test is designed to assess some of the essential skills and abilities that are required to successfully complete our diploma programs. This is not required if the applicant has a Canadian secondary school education diploma.
Step 3: Finalize Financing and Registration
This is an exploration of the most feasible and suitable financing options, making sure that all registration information is current and complete, ensuring a smooth entry into the program.
Step 4: Program Start – Career Planning and Placement
That first day at school will be met with a welcoming smile here at Evergreen College. Students adapt quickly and learn to focus on activities that will ensure a solid Field Placement / Co-op, and eventually full-time employment, in just a few short months.
